Join Michelle Greenfield and Athens IRL (in real life) group for a discussion of the book “Last Child in the Woods”

Books will be available for check out at the Athens Public Library starting July 1. Read the book, then gather with other parents to learn how we can keep our kids connected to the natural world and each other in our technology saturated world.

We will gather at the Highland Park shelter for the discussion. Families are encouraged to come and kids can play in the park while parents talk about the book.

This event is organized by Athens IRL, a community-led group of kids, parents, teachers, and health care professionals dedicated to improving childhood well-being through finding balance between real life and screen life.  Our goal is to build a stronger, healthier community by delaying smartphones/social media and reducing screens together while creating more real life, in person experiences for our kids.
